Copper Work
About the Collection: I began to work in copper in honor of my father and the Kavanagh Family business. Over from Ireland in the 1850’s Joseph Kavangh started Joseph Kavanagh Coppersmiths. The company has evolved and is currently run by my youngest sister and youngest brother. Working with copper has given me the opportunity to connect with my ancestry.

About the Collection: My Irish heritage coupled with my trips to Ireland admiring the people and the landscape inspired this collection.
It's A Wonderful World
About the Collection: One of Jane’s explorations to different avenues led her to create this series called “Its a Wonderful World”. Using Ceramic tiles as a base to create these colorful images of wonderful worlds.
Paper Collages
About the Collection: These pieces are Jane’s Journey Back from grief and into playfulness. To travel a new path with nothing to dampen my spirits. To accept life as it happens.
Pit Fired Porcelain
About the Collection: Porcelain is slaked down and cotton lint is added to the mix. This creates paper porcelain clay. The clay is pinched and formed into the sculptures. When dry it is bisque fired to cone 010. Then pit fired using copper oxides and some sea salt to create copper reds, the black is from absorbing the smoke and the white areas are the white of the porcelain. Pit firing is not an exact science so no two pieces have the same surface coloring.
