Melted Metal

When any metal is cut parts of the piece are melted. These drippings wedge themselves into the machine cutting them. My nephews working at the family shop dislodge them from the machine and pass them on on to me. I fire them to 1700 degrees to smooth the sharp tips. Apply varnish or lacquer then add paints and small ceramic pieces creating small worlds. The characters I place on them are waxed into place. This allows you to play with these creations moving the characters around.
